  Home Area Network:

                    Facilitate communication between digital devices which are capable to interact with each others present inside the Home is called Home Area Network(HAN). The handheld devices such as tablet,laptops,smart phones and other devices such as TV,camera,..etc.This type of devices re capable to interact with each others.If you need a Internet connection for all of these devices in your home by existing broadband connection  for your home this is the solution for that because your Internet service provider will give only one public ip address for your connection because lack of ipv4 ip addressing..So there is only one public ip which is accessed by any one of device at a time.What about other devices ?

                  So One of centralised device is required for the function of Network address Translation(NAT).That is it shares Internet access to all the Internet capable devices which are present in side the home network by sharing  public ip address of the WAN between private ip address of  for each devices.Mostly wireless network is used for Home Area Network.

Expensive:

              The server hardware devices,server operating systems which are expensive and the installation of network may require server administrator and network engineer they are expensive.

Administrating:

              Requires constant maintanence by server admin and admin sholud be havee necessary skills to maintain that and properr monitoring of network is essential task.

Server Failure:

             The entire network funtions are server based.If server fails then the entire network will go down because all the clients are server dependent.

Heavy Traffic:

             Server is backbone for handling whole network funtions which gives over load to the server.Nework traffic will be more because the client will start its communication session from booting time onwards untill it will go shutdown.Network Routing should be maintained in proper manner else it leads  server as busy state or it will affect is normal funtions.

Virus:

              Virus is the most challenge in the network side because in peer to peer architecture there are lot of viruses in the form of peer top peer programs.normally viruses are downloaded in the as a any application file like audio or video.Lot of copyrighted contents also shared by this technology along word wide.

Network Management:

            All the computers in this network will be act as server/client.So by one user cannot control whole network.Each computers are shared their own data.so it can be managed through that PC only.

Data Backup:

            Data backup possible only in local computer side.so each computer should have its own storage for storing data.

Lack of Security:

            This network is only suitable for small network  may contain lass then 10 computers because its lack of security.However it low cost still it is not recommended for any commerical use where some sensitive data can be shared.

Lack of Reliability:

            In this decentralised architecture it is very difficult to find reliable computers.There is no assurance whether we are getting reliable data or not.Whether we are communicating with reliable computer or not.
